We understand that many people are anxious or nervous about having dental care. Sometimes all you need is a bit of time, compassion and understanding to put you at your ease. Other times, you may feel you need something more. We provide Dental Sedation for those occasions. How we can help Being treated in a calm and relaxed environment by a dentist who listens to your needs goes a long way. In addition we can provide IV sedation for patients over 18 years of age. What is IV Sedation? A sedative drug called Midazolam is given which makes patients drowsy and relaxed during dental care. During this time patients are still awake and responsive, but afterwards usually do not remember all of the procedure. Our Anxiety Management Clinic Dr Hui Chen is our dentist who cares for nervous patients. She is a clinical lecturer in dental sedation, and has completed a Diploma in Conscious sedation from Cardiff University. She uses a combination of gentle techniques and anxiety management to help you to look after your dental health. Our receptionist will then be able to book an appointment for a dental consultation and anxiety/sedation assessment.
